Sea Scribe by D.I. Telbat A REVIEW

ABOUT SEA SCRIBE
In Sea Scribe by D.I. Telbat, a modern-day action-adventure set in the Pacific and the Sea of Japan, we meet Troy Forge who has been stabbed 47 times. Once a correctional officer, Troy knows how to survive and trust God, but every ounce of his faith is tested as he lives to hate the man who scarred and damaged him for life.

As a storm brews on and across the high seas, Troy, though still suffering from pain and loss, sets sail in his customized catamaran on a dangerous smuggling mission. Just days after leaving California's West Coast, the voyage proves to be anything but a smooth trip across the Pacific. Facing many risks and dangers, Troy makes discoveries that change his life forever. And then finally, Troy is presented with the opportunity to harm his attacker.

Contraband smuggler Merrick Jolan is hot after Troy's catamaran to destroy it, or to kill the Christian sailor by way of Jolan's Russian bodyguard, Dmitri Volkov. Even pirates boldly test their greed against Troy's determination, but if Troy cannot meet the Elephant on time, the Christian network may crumble.

Ho Kichun—cut off from the outside world—is a networker for the Christian underground inside North Korea. As he travels secretly through the mountainsides serving the persecuted, he prays to meet a covert contact—if Kichun isn't killed by an assassin first!

Laura Zisk leaves in her wake a broken past that she refuses to face. A professed atheist, this alcoholic tries to run as far from her life as she can, only to be confronted with the hardest test of her being.

Sea Scribe—a 67,000 word stand-alone suspense novel by D.I. Telbat, with cover art by Sean Johnson—reveals the high-octane boldness of Christians who risk everything to assist their foreign brothers and sisters in underground danger and suspense! This high seas adventure will leave you gasping for air as the stormy deep threatens to drown God's people on a new frontier: the forbidden waters off North Korea's east coast. And once again, we see that without sacrifice, there is no redemption.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
D. I. Telbat is a Christian author who writes in many genres, but especially Christian action-adventure, and suspense. He wrote his first novel at age 14, and hasn't stopped since!

Telbat's Tablet, David's website (http://ditelbat.com), offers free weekly Christian adventure and suspense short stories, or serialized novels, to entertain, but also to bring attention to the Christian Persecuted Church. Because of his interest in the Persecuted Church and missions, many of D.I. Telbat's stories are about persecuted Christians, their hardships, their sacrifices, and their rescues. Several of his novels include espionage, as well as spiritual warfare.

On his site, he also shares his author reflections, writing experiences, and occasional challenges to the Christian church, and there is a complete biography, testimonials, and publishing credits and honors. The credits include both print and digital publications, anthologies, and a 2nd place People's Choice Award with print magazine, The Storyteller. (Also, you can now follow David Telbat on Twitter @DITelbat.)

Telbat's e-novels--Dark Liaison, A Christian Suspense Novel, Book One in the COIL Series, Dark Hearted, Book Two in the COIL Series, Dark Rule, Book Three, Sea Scribe, a High Seas Suspense, and Jaguar Dusk, a Special Forces Christian Novel--are available from Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com, as well as other retailers. Getting into trouble with the law as a young man became a turning point in David's life. The Lord used that experience to draw David into a personal relationship with Him. Re-focusing his life for Christ, David now seeks to honor God with his life and his writing.

David studied writing in college, and worked in the newspaper field, but now he is doing what he loves: writing and ministry. He is involved with several ministries, which includes writing and directing Christian plays. When not busy with ministry, he focuses on writing novels, short stories, blog posts, and prison ministry newsletters.

He has kept his home office in the Northwest U.S. where his assistant, Dee, lives and helps with his writing and editing needs.

There is no redemption without sacrifice.

MY REVIEW
Sea Scribe by D.I. Telbat is a fantastic read. It seems with each of D.I. Telbat’s books I read he is becoming one of my favorite authors.
In each book there are several stories in one. I loved all of the different people and stories involved in Sea Scribe, but the part I really did love is the story of Ho Kichun. How he sacrifices and survives on his own, with only the Lords help. It’s amazing the miracles that happens and how he makes it day by day.
Troy and Laura are so different, but when tragedies happen it brings people together. They are really good for each other and learn to depend on each other.
I really like how at the beginning of this story Troy starts out alone, but before the book is over he has a whole host of friends and helpers.
I really love this story it is so full of adventure and suspense. I couldn’t stop reading because it was that good. Even though I couldn’t read it fast enough I didn’t want it to end. What a fantastic author D.I. Telbat is. I highly recommend Sea Scribe. Also I simply LOVED the ending.
