MY REVIEW
Amazing cookbook that I find very interesting. The different chapters include Peppercorn, Chili, Cinnamon, Nutmeg so on. Every Spice you can think of.
In each chapter there are over ten recipes. You won’t believe all of the different recipes you can have from spices.
At each chapter you will find out how different spices were discovered, where they come from like the bark of a tree, seeds or leaves.
Many Baking tips, equipment and ingredients for you to read about and use. A very handy cookbook, but very different. Very good ideas and the recipes will make you a hit at any gathering or party.

MY REVIEW
A Reason for Hope by Dr. Michael S. Barry is an exceptional book. In his book he tells us that many things contribute to cancer and how he shares with us the different things that need to be done if you have cancer.
Dr. Barry is the first to say that if it is your time to die then God will take you, but if it isn’t your time these steps will help you.
One amazing thing Dr. Barry said is that people have been cured/healed from every type of cancer. So it is possible to beat any type you have.
He said the main thing is a positive attitude to overcome. If you think you are going to die you will even if it’s not your time.
Having faith and praying, growing closer to God are all very important steps. Nothing will make you stronger than being close to God.
This isn’t the only thing that can cause cancer, but one thing is having a very drastic thing happen in your life, like a death of a family member, divorce, loss of job. It all depends on how you handle these horrific events. The main reason you could get cancer during these times is because your immune system is fighting your emotions and the cancer slips in.
Also things like diet, not exercising or bad habits.
The book is telling us even if these things happen we have hope. Never lose sight of that, because once your hope is gone it’s to late. Also if a doctor tells you, you only have a few weeks or months don’t believe them. God is the one who is in control and you need to keep the faith and hope. Very interesting, small book. Recommended.

MY REVIEW
The Five Times I Met Myself by James L. Rubart is just incredible. Every single book I have read by James L. Rubart has been the same. I so enjoy when he has a new book out, because I know I can expect a book full of intriguing, interesting topics you don’t get from other authors.  His books aren’t about your normal, every day things that lots of authors write about.
In The Five Times I Met Myself Brock has been having a mysterious, crazy dream, so he tells his friend about it. The friend gives him a book about lucid dreaming. Where you can control your dreams and talk to people or visit events. It’s having control over your dreams.
Since everything in Brock’s live is falling apart he thinks if he would have done things differently his life would have turned out better. He wouldn’t be in the shape he is in now. So he goes in his dream back to talk to himself and tells himself certain areas to change and things to do differently.
The only bad thing about this is things started to go from bad to worse. Even when he thought he changed his life for the better somehow things just kept getting crazier.  Now after he has visited himself four times he wants to make things the way they were before he started the lucid dreaming. Will Brock be able to do this?
So many outcomes and so many changes, what will really happen? This book is just wonderful. So very, very interesting and it will keep you reading. Very highly recommended. If you have never read any of James L. Rubart’s books now is the time to start. I just can’t say enough how much I love this book.

MY REVIEW
Brandilyn Collins books are always fantastic, but Dark Justice is one of my favorites.
Hannah and her mother who has dementia happen to come upon an accident scene. While trying to help the dying man Hannah and her mom find out something that doesn’t make sense, but they know it is so very important.
For what they find out and what the dying man slips in Hannah’s pocket everyone is after them. Not just for the information they know but for their very lives.
Hannah doesn’t want to get her daughter involved, but she doesn’t know who else to trust with such important information.
The local law enforcement, FBI and the criminals are after them. Where should they go and what should they do?
Such an exciting, interesting novel. I really, really loved it and look forward to more books by Brandilyn. Read this book and you won’t be sorry you did. Very highly recommended.

Silent Cry by Dorothy J. Newton A Review

ABOUT SILENT CRY
Raised near New Orleans as one of six children, Dorothy Newton was surrounded by abuse and poverty as she grew up. In this book Dorothy shares her experiences of pain, loss, survival, hope, recovery, and victory. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
From a young age she witnessed her stepfather physically and verbally abuse her mother—images that would haunt her for years. Though she promised herself that she would never be in such a marriage, like so many others, she repeated her mother’s pattern—her abuser just happened to be a loved celebrity—a Super Bowl NFL football champion with the Dallas Cowboys. Who would believe her even if she dared to reveal her painful secret?

Dorothy is the Practice Administrator for a health care organization, where she is pursuing her M.B.A.  She is the proud mother of two boys—Nathaniel Newton III (Tre’), who is on an athletic scholarship at the University of Texas, and Nate King Newton. She has appeared on numerous television and radio programs as the former wife of retired Dallas Cowboy’s NFL player Nathaniel Newton, Jr.

MY REVIEW
Silent Cry by Dorothy J. Newton is an excellent book. An autobiography that tells of abuse that is mentally and physically. Dorothy tells about her childhood and how her father abused her mother and how Dorothy was never going to get into a relationship where abuse was.
Dorothy was/is a very intellect person. She stayed so very close to God, because He is the only one Dorothy could trust to not hurt her or leave her. Dorothy was the first one in her family to graduate college and become a woman who could support herself. She didn’t want to end up like her mother staying in a relationship because she didn’t have any money or anyone to go to, to get away from an abusive relationship.
Then Dorothy met Nate Newton famous superstar football player for the Dallas Cowboys. Things were fine for a while and Dorothy gave up her job and depended on Nate. Then he started abusing her and the cycle started all over again. In Silent Cry Dorothy tells about the things she went through and how she never would have made it if she didn’t have the Lord in her life. Besides the physical, emotional abuse Dorothy put up with a cheating, lying husband and stood by him in all things.
She reported Nate’s behavior several times, but him being a superstar no one would believe her or take her side.
She stayed until she feared for her life and what it would do to their sons if she stayed. Read this book of incredible faith and how Dorothy made a new life for herself. She now helps other people in the same situation she was in. A very extraordinary book. Highly recommended.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born on the east coast, lived on the west coast and educated in the south, where I graduated college in a record four years earning the most advantageous degree: documentary film. I’d like to waste this moment and give thanks to all the countries I’ve been to. Were it not for your fabulously unusual experiences, I would not be the same. In Mexico I took a crash course in salsa; in Nepal I was trained in the art of survival. In Montenegro I grasped the illusive concept of how not to rush; in New Zealand, I learned how very different the English language can be. In South Africa, I discovered a passion for writing. In all I’ve been to 17 countries and want to keep adding to the list, searching for new life experiences and amazing adventures.

MY REVIEW
Bloodrayne Redemption by Raber is a very short story. Parts of the book were fascinating, but other parts didn’t make a lot of sense.
This is her first book and I see great potential in her style and how she can describe things. I believe Raber will become a great writer in the future.
This first book was a little lacking and made me wonder how all of the loose ends fit together. The idea of the story was pretty neat, but it still needs a lot of work in my opinion.
I recommend you read this book, because it is a short story and you can see the potential that I did.  Good story, but needs more work.

MY REVIEW
The My First Hands-On Bible comes in a very pretty pink color and the feel of the Bible is so soft. Any little girl will just love to own one. The Bible takes many stories from the Old and New Testaments.
Some of the stories are God Creates the World, God Parts the Red Sea, Jericho’s Falling Walls,  Jesus is Born, Jesus Loves Children, Life in Heaven, Jesus Will Come Back. There are many, many more stories with full, beautiful, colorful pictures.
There are hands-on activities. During different stories you will come across colored handprints. When you see a handprint you stop reading and do an activity with your child.
Each passage ends with a prayer and questions.
There are places called Pockets and Cuddles. The pockets show a little Kangaroo that tells you it’s time to pray. Also Cuddles the Lamb leads you in more activities.
Then there is the section called Jesus Connection. Your child will see that Jesus is the center of all scripture. And your child will know that Jesus is a real part of life.
I highly recommend this first Hands-on Bible for any child from 3-6 years of age. Really precious Bible.
