Rise and Shine A Contemporary Fairy Tale by Sandra D. Bricker A Review

ABOUT RISE AND SHINE
Shannon Malone thought she'd found her happy ending when she married Edmund Ridgeway, but a diving accident on their honeymoon left her in a coma. Waking up to the news that she's thirty years old would have been daunting enough . . . but she also learns that Edmund has lost his interim battle with cancer and the world has marched on without her. Her gorgeous doctor, Daniel Petros, seems to know everything about her and becomes Shannon's tour guide into a whole new world of madness where reality television has taken over the planet and everyone's life appears to revolve around a tiny screen on their cell phones!

As Shannon struggles to navigate through the changes-both in the world andin her-she also must discern real memories from imagined ones. Did she really ever wear capris pants and entertain in her living room, or was that Laura Petrie from her favorite classic TV show? And where is her beloved dog, Freeway? Oh, wait! That was Jonathan and Jennifer Hart's dog, not hers.

Shannon's three elderly aunts flit through her life in true Sleeping Beautystyle with her well-being always a priority. And Edmund's sister Millicent descends like the Evil Queen she is, trying to extract Shannon from any claim on the Ridgeway family fortune. When a tornado moves through town and Shannon is knocked unconscious, will Daniel's kiss awaken her once and for all?

MY REVIEW
Rise and Shine by Sandra D. Bricker is a very sweet, cute, love story. It’s a present day fairy tale.
I found it very interesting and sweet. Imiange being in a coma for 10 years and coming back to the world. So many things would be different. Not just technology, but clothes styles, the way people view life, family and friends and even yourself.
In Rise and Shine Shannon is newly married has a diving accident and doesn’t wake up for 10 years. During those 10 years her husband faithfully waits for her, but Cancer hits him.
She wakes up and has to face so many things at once. How does she handle everything? Will she ever be happy again? What of the doctor that has taken care of her for that long?
A very interesting concept and really sweet ending. Highly recommend Rise and Shine. Sandra D. Bricker is an excellent author.

One Perfect Spring by Irene Hannon A REVIEW

ABOUT ONE PERFECT SPRING

Independent single mom Claire Summers is doing her best to make lemonade out of the lemons life has handed her. Workaholic Keith Watson is interested only in the bottom line--until a letter from Claire's eleven-year-old daughter reaches his desk and changes everything.

As the executive assistant to a philanthropic businessman, Keith is used to fielding requests for donations. But the girl isn't asking for money. She wants help finding the long-lost son of a neighbor. As Keith reluctantly digs into this assignment in his usual results-oriented style, he has no idea how involved he and Claire will become--nor how unusual the results will actually be. Who could have guessed that a child's kindhearted request would bring love and hope to so many lives . . . including his own?

Through compelling characters and surprising plot twists, fan favorite Irene Hannon offers this tenderhearted story that demonstrates how life is like lilacs--the biggest blooms come only after the harshest winters.

MY REVIEW
One Perfect Spring by Irene Hannon is an excellent book.
I love how the whole book is centered around a letter written by a little girl. How one letter changed the life of  six people/families.
One Perfect Spring talks about the issues of adoption, single parenting, workaholics, cancer and so many other life topics.
David and Keith are workaholics. David’s wife dies and he sees how much he has lost with always being at work and putting his family second. So he is changing and doesn’t want his employee to go down the same path as he did.
Maureen has cancer and it has made he want to get in touch with the son she gave up for adoption many years ago, but can’t find him. Little Haley takes it upon her self to write to a very wealthy man who helps people.
The outcome of this story is amazing. You will see how lives are changed, people fall in love, hearts start to thaw and people seeing what is really important in life. How God will help and is already working in your life.
Very good book. Highly recommended. A wonderful addition to your library.

Fans will laugh out loud as they experience this breezy and entertaining novel from a great storyteller.

An expert at pulling the humor from the situations we get ourselves into, Thompson offers an inside look at the wedding business, drawing on her own experiences as a wedding planner. She is the author of the Weddings by Bella series and the Backstage Pass series. She lives in Texas.

MY REVIEW
Picture Perfect by Janice Thompson is book one in the Weddings by Design series. I enjoyed reading it.
Picture Perfect is a romantic contemporary that is also full of suspense and comedy. It’s not a book that is really suspenseful but has parts of suspense to keep you reading to find out how it ends.
Hannah thinks she isn’t good enough to ever be first in anything. She always thinks others know more than her, are prettier than her and can get the things they want and need more than her. Hannah has some dear old friends and makes some dear new ones. She has grown up in a family that does the same things day in and day out. Never trying new things. Than the strangest things begin to happen.
She gets to meet and gets to find out what her competitor in the photography business is like. Will they become friends and fierce enemies going for the same businesses?
Hannah is Irish and in this book you get to read many Irish sayings and I love that.
This is really a fun, light-hearted read that is very enjoyable. I think you will enjoy it and I recommend it.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Katie Ganshert was born and raised in the Midwest, where she currently writes inspirational romance novels set in present-day America. When she's not busy plotting ways to get her hero and heroine to fall in love, she enjoys watching movies with her husband, playing make-believe with her wild-child of a son, and chatting with her girlfriends over bagels and coffee. She could talk books all day and is often spotted around town pushing a stroller, walking her dog, and reading--all at the same time.

MY REVIEW
Wildflowers from Winter  by Katie Ganshert is such a wonderful book. I love the title and cover, because it really goes along with the story.
This book tells us that even when you go through horrible tradgeies and hardships God can still work in your life if you let Him.  You may still hate what happened or what you are going through, but you can see His hand and feel His love.
Bethany and Robin were such close friends in high school and they both needed each other badly, but after college and careers they drifted apart mainly because of Bethany’s feelings about God.
In Wildflowers from Winter Bethany gets called back to her little hometown that she would love to forget because her grandfather had a heart attack and also her former friend’s husband was dieing.  She wants to pay her respects and be gone from past memories and failures. Little does Bethany know of the things that will happen and change her circumstances.
I really like this book because it shows us that even when horrible things happens God will help us and also things in the past can be forgiven and forgotten. This is a sweet story that I recommend.
