MY REVIEW
The Father’s Love is about a girl named Sarah that feels like she isn’t loved. When she was very young her father left her mom and her. That broke her heart and now she tries to find love with different men.
Sarah falls in love with a wonderful man and has a magnificent time and just is so happy.
Then she finds out something about Reece, her new love, that breaks her heart. She starts going to chuch and she decides to follow the Lord. Shortly after Reece comes back into her life. Will she get involved with him again or find the love that she needs from her earthly father.
Very good movie that is emotional and full of hope and promise. I highly recommend it.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
When Angie Brashear isn't working or taking care of her family, she writes. Usually at night after her kids fall asleep. She's a fan of speculative fiction and an avid runner, both of which perplex her football-loving, nonfiction-reading husband. Saved in her early twenties, Angie is grateful for the Lord's presence in all aspects of her life. She is originally from Rockland, Maine and currently resides in Cameron, Texas with her husband and three children.

MY REVIEW
I won this book on a facebook promotion party. I was thrilled to win.
Of The Persecuted by Angie Brashear is an excellent book. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book written by Angie Brashear.
Of The Persecuted starts out as  Laila  and her brother are about to be hung for being a Faithful. Very exciting way to start and it only gets better through the book.
They are saved, also a young boy, Finney, by a man named Lars Landre.  In this book two forces are against each other, the Faithful and the Rendow Clan.  Your good/evil, followers of God against the followers of the devil.
Many of the scenes in the story are very beautiful, but also war is very ugly. While Lars is leading Laila and Finney back to the city he calls home two other people come along claiming to be Faithful members also. Find out who they are and what happens to all involved. Also this book is about trust, faith and believing in the Lord.
I find this very interesting because they don’t claim to be from the earth but some other place. Really intriguing. Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW
Hillsong United’s new album is called Empires. It features 12 songs and they seem to all be quite soft. Not your typical praise and worship songs. To me it’s really doesn’t stir up much emotion. I know songs don’t have to be emotional to be good. I like the more fast paced praise and worship music that is loud.
Don’t get me wrong this album is sweet and quiet. It will be nice as background music or something that will soothe you as you sleep.
Nice songs for you to enjoy and to sing along with.

Number of discs: 1
Studio: Capitol Christian
DVD Release Date: June 2, 2015
Run Time: 110 minutes

MY REVIEW
Virtuous is a movie about many different women, but the main focus is on Simone who murders a man because he tried to assault her. She has a bad past but is now trying to lead a decent life.
It is also about a young woman who was in the war and got captured and tortured, but God gives her the strength to keep going.
Another woman in the movie is an older judge who puts up with an abusive husband. Not beating her, but verbal abuse.
How they all hear in church that God loves them and they are precious in His sight. How this insight changes each of these woman and also others.
Jack Evans is Simone’s lawyer and he proves that this has happened before to many women, but they didn’t do anything about it.
If you want a faith-based movie that shows how women overcome the trials they go through with the Lord’s help this movie is for you.
Excellent acting and very good actors.  Highly recommended and very enjoyable.

With a killer targeting Lints and corruption threatening the highest levels of the Authority, Carrington must uncover the truth before it destroys her.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The oldest daughter of New York Times bestselling author Ted Dekker, Rachelle Dekker was inspired early on to discover truth through storytelling. She graduated with a degree in communications and spent several years in marketing and corporate recruiting before making the transition to write full time. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Daniel, and their diva cat Blair. Visit her online at www.rachelledekker.com.

MY REVIEW
The Choosing by Rachelle Dekker is an excellent novel. This is the first book she has written.  I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for book 2 in the Seer series. I want to see how this story continues.
The story opens in the year of 2257. The world has changed greatly. Every girl just lives for the chance to be chosen when she reaches the age. If a man does not chose you to be his wife then society shuns you and you have to become a Lint and work as a slave and do the jobs no one wants. As a Lint you are considered a nobody and you are left to live on your own.
Carrington doesn’t get chosen and begins the horrible life everyone avoids.
Someone is killing Lints that disobey and it’s a horrible way to die. I must say even though I love this book I did figure out who the killer was early on in the book, but that didn’t ruin the story for me.
Well Carrington meets and has a few friends and things just happen to bring her into a different kind of life.
Many twists and turns in this story. Just when you think you have all things figured out something new happens.
The theme of this book is that you are Chosen by God even if no one else chooses you. He loves you just the way you are and you are important to Him. No matter what anyone else says.
Strange, but the sermon in church this past week was on the same theme. So this story has really stuck with me to let me know I’m loved and chosen by God.
The Choosing is a very excellent book and I know Rachelle Dekker is going to go far in her writing career. Highly recommend The Choosing and so glad to have found a new favorite author.

MY REVIEW
Mom’s Night Out by Tricia Goyer is a super-hilarious, roller-coaster ride from the beginning to the end. You will laugh and laugh at all of the things that happen and enjoy the ups and downs of all of these characters.
All Allyson, Izzy and Sondra want is a day for themselves away from children and responsibilities, but what they get is out of the ordinary, wacky trouble.
Allyson has three children, Izzy has twins and just found out she is expecting and Sondra has a teenage daughter, she is also the pastor’s wife. Sondra feels she must always be happy and help everyone.
Right from the start you will crack up laughing as Allyson’s three young children make her breakfast for Mother’s Day and they do it all alone, since Allyson’s husband is away on a business trip.
What a book that will keep you laughing and wondering what could possibly happen next.
You will revel in the stolen child, pastor’s wife getting in the spot light to dance, high speed car chase, children screaming, and in the end they each come to the conclusion that God is always there and is taking care of them.
Really, really funny book that you won’t be able to put down. Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW
Shadowed by Kariss Lynch is book 2 in the Heart of a Warrior Series. Shadowed can also be a stand alone book.
Nick and Kaylan have gotten closer than in book 1 and Nick tells her he loves her, but Kaylan has to work through her feelings. She feels if she loves someone she will lose them as she did her best friend Sarah in the Haiti earthquake in book 1.
Then the threat of Janus that Nick and the other SEALs are after is now targeting Kaylan. Usually family are safe from the threat of the SEALs, so they have to be extra careful.
This book Shadowed has a lot of twists and turns. You will be surprised and astonished at how everything turns out.
An amazing story full of love, hope, forgiveness and honor.
Highly recommended.

The Wood's Edge by Lori Benton A REVIEW

ABOUT THE WOOD'S EDGE
At the wood’s edge cultures collide. Can two families survive the impact?

The 1757 New York frontier is home to the Oneida tribe and to British colonists, yet their feet rarely walk the same paths.

On the day Fort William Henry falls, Major Reginald Aubrey is beside himself with grief. His son, born that day, has died in the arms of his sleeping wife. When Reginald comes across an Oneida mother with newborn twins, one white, one brown, he makes a choice that will haunt the lives of all involved. He steals the white baby and leaves his own child behind. Reginald’s wife and foundling daughter, Anna, never suspect the truth about the boy they call William, but Reginald is wracked by regret that only intensifies with time, as his secret spreads its devastating ripples.

When the long buried truth comes to light, can an unlikely friendship forged at the wood’s edge provide a way forward? For a father tormented by fear of judgment, another by lust for vengeance. For a mother still grieving her lost child. For a brother who feels his twin’s absence, another unaware of his twin’s existence. And for Anna,

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lori Benton was born and raised east of the Appalachian Mountains, surrounded by early American and family history going back to the 1600s. Her novels transport readers to the 18th century, where she brings to life the Colonial and early Federal periods of American history, creating a melting pot of characters drawn from both sides of a turbulent and shifting frontier, brought together in the bonds of God's transforming grace.

Lori's debut novel, Burning Sky, earned the 2014 Christy Award for First Novel, Historical, and Book of the Year.

MY REVIEW
The Wood’s Edge by Lori Benton is another superb read. This is Lori’s third book and each one is excellent. I’ve read all of them and will continue to look for her books in the future. Book 2 of the Pathfinders series will be out next year. Can’t wait.
All of the characters in this series are well developed and very likable. When Reginald stole the white twin of a woman to give to his wife as their own son and placed his dead son in the other woman’s arms it just is such a sad and desperate move. You will feel the anguish of all of the parents involved. How one seeks revenge, how one is so very guilty. The mother that had her baby stolen knew right away when she woke what happened and how her heart was torn open with the grief. The mother who had her child die didn’t realize the switch so she loves this child fiercely.
I love the names of the twins who were born to the Indian father and white mother. They are called Two Hawks and He-is-Taken.
Also in the story a little girl {Anna} was almost murdered by the Indians but Reginald saved her. She meets Two Hawks in the woods, but doesn’t know that her adopted brother is really Two Hawks twin brother. Anna forms a friendship with him and they meet to talk of her brother, which is Two Hawks real brother.
This is really a heart touching, precious story. Of loss, love, vengeance, forgiveness. Very good novel. I highly recommend it.
