Wind in the Wires by Janet Chester Bly REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

ABOUT WIND IN THE WIRES
A cowgirl searches for love and family. An old man seeks justice. A journey they take together exposes a tale of lies and betrayal. Will the truth be too hard for either to bear?
It’s 1991. Reba Cahill loves ranching with Grandma Pearl in north central Idaho. But there’s a lot of work and only two of them. Can she find a man worthy of her attentions and strong enough to help her run the ranch? She finds few prospects in the small town of Road’s End. But Reba is also missing something else: her mother. Deserted by her at three-years-old and never knowing her dad, she feels a sense of longing and loss. And bitterness. When elderly, quirky Road’s End citizen Maidie Fortress dies, Uncle Seth presents Reba Cahill with an expensive piece of jewelry that turns Reba’s world upside down. She is thrust into a journey with Seth that exposes dark family secrets and two cold case murders. The evidence leads her down unexpected paths and towards unsuspected admirers. Will the truth also ruin all hope for romance?

MY REVIEW
Wind in the Wires by Janet Chester Bly is the first book in the A Trails of Reba Cahill Novel series. What a wonderful start to a series. I came to love the characters and setting very much. The ending almost took my breath away. How exciting and captivating this book is.
I really came to love the older man Seth in this book. He is full of much knowledge and secrets, but his love of God is the best.
In the Wind in the Wires you learn things aren’t always as they seem. Sometimes people do things for you and you don’t understand why and maybe even disagree with them.
The part that really captivated my attention in this book is the wonderful road trip and why Seth planned it.
Every part of this book will keep you guessing and keep you reading until you’re at the end. I highly recommend Wind in the Wires for all lovers of the West, adventure and romance. Janet Chester Bly is an excellent author.

MY REVIEW
MOMO is an excellent religious fantasy book written by Kevin M. Kraft. This is the first book I’ve read by Kevin and it won’t be the last. I love to read new authors because once in a while you come across an fantastic new book/author. I usually don’t read fantasy type books, but glad I did.
This isn’t an overly long book and right now it’s free for your kindle. So what a great time to get it.
I love the father/son time that started out not to good, but ended with father and son really getting to know each other and the great love they share.
I love survival stories which test the endurance of the characters and lets you get to know them. The best part of this story is the example of faith and how they look to God to help them through and not on themselves.
MOMO stands for Missouri Monster also known as bowling bear, which is a legend in that part of the country. MOMO is a short, exciting story full of adventure, love and faith. I highly recommend this book and know you will also. Glad I’ve found a new author and can’t wait to see this story at the movies.

HARBOR OF THE HEART by Katherine Spencer a review

ABOUT HARBOR OF THE HEART

Like the seashells that show up on the beaches, the people of Angel Island arrive from many places and with varied pasts. Yet they all find a safe harbor there…and the gift of hope.

Liza Martin and Daniel Merritt are closer than ever. She alone knows that he gave up his medical practice because he blamed himself for endangering a patient. But she is completely shocked to hear that Daniel is now considering returning to a medical career…which may mean leaving Angel Island—and Liza.

Daniel struggles to make this decision, but they are both put to the test when a sailor wrecks his boat in a vicious storm. Liza witnesses Daniel’s medical skills firsthand and finally understands why she must let him pursue his career. If only that didn’t mean sacrificing the love of her life…

The sailor, Nolan Porter, survives thanks to Daniel’s skill. But moments earlier he had considered ending his life due to losing his career and his family. Still, no matter how desperate he feels, the residents of Angel Island will not let him give up. Over the course of the summer, Nolan’s tragedy becomes a blessing. And what better way to celebrate than to share one’s blessings with others.

MY REVIEW
Harbor of the Heart by Katherine Spencer is book 5 in the Angel Island series. I’ve read almost all of this series and totally love this one. I wasn’t asked to review it, but got it from the library.
It tells of the continuing love story of Liza owner of the Inn at Angel Island and Daniel former handy man but now wants to get back into medicine. Things are going so well for these two and than disaster strikes. How can they have a marriage and live so far apart.
Also at the beginning of the story Nolan appears in a ship wreck that Daniel helps to save. Nolan and Claire, cook, housekeeper and friend, become very close friends, even though Nolan and Claire are from very different backgrounds.  So love is all around the Inn.
I don’t want to tell you to much about this story so I will leave it at that, but this book is very worth reading. It will keep you up late into the night.
Really loved Harbor of the Heart and highly recommend this new, interesting story.

Perfect by Harry Kraus REVIEW

ABOUT PERFECT
Wendi Stratford’s job as an accident reconstructionist is just one more enviable reflection of her ideal life. She’s got it all—perfect career, perfect looks, perfect husband, perfect home, perfect faith. There’s just one problem: it’s all a sham, right down to her bleached-blonde hair.

So Wendi hatches an impulsive and exhilarating plan to break free of the lie she’s been living—only to watch her hopes die in a terrible accident. But as she sifts through the wreckage, Wendi comes to a shocking conclusion. This was no accident.

The quest is on to learn the truth, but the truth could be deadly. And now someone is leaving Wendi clues at accident scenes, clues that could lead her straight into a killer’s hands. With her life on the line, Wendi must find strength in a faith that until now had been merely an accessory to her storybook life.

With engaging characters swept into a millrace of mystery and suspense, Harry Kraus’ new novel is. . .perfect.

MY REVIEW
Perfect by Harry Kraus is a really good book, but I didn’t like the ending. I really enjoyed most of the book though.
Wendi is really good at her job, as an accident reconstructionist. She can read the cars, roads and know how fast someone was going. If they were braking or going faster etc.. She knows her job well.
Wendi is tried of being the perfect daughter, wife, doctors wife and plans to change her life. She makes many very bad decisions, but in the end they all work out.
Perfect shows us that when you build a web of deciect you will get caught. This book has many, many webs.  Also when you think your life is horrible it may be you that is wrong or going through a bad time, not because you have a bad life.
Perfect is really interesting, but not a favorite. I do recommend that you read it though.

MY REVIEW
Jessie by Rebekah Lyn is book two in the Coastal Chronicles series. It’s about a 10 year-old boy during the sixties. How he wants to be an astronaut. He watches as the US sends men into space. You will read about him growing up until his 18th year. Jessie has three brothers and they stick pretty close together in their adventures and in school.  The boys father drinks and beats the oldest and youngest, which is Jessie.
This book is an O.K. book it is mostly about Jessie and his love of the space program. You don’t need to love the space program to enjoy this book, but it helps. Jessie is a book about forgiveness and love between family. How it is really hard to forgive sometimes, but we always heal better when we forgive.
I recommend this book if you love family stories and stories about space programs.

MY REVIEW
The Identical is a very interesting, fast-paced movie. I really enjoyed how twin boys born to a very poor farmer during the depression became separated when they were infants, but later their paths crossed.
This movie shows how twins are so much alike even when they are separated.
The singers sort of give you the impression of Elvis, but they don’t say it.
You will see how a secret kept will eventually come out. How it hurts everyone who keeps the secret and those it is about. Also it talks about how parents sometimes put their own expectations on  their children and the children go along with it at first. Everyone has to make their own career choices and do what God intended for them to do.
The Identical is a very good, God-orientated movie. The whole movie is about what God has for a person and how we can forgive others for the wrong they have done us.
Some very touching scenes that will make you run for your tissues. I highly recommend this DVD.
Even my adult children loved it and thought it was interesting.
