MY REVIEW
When Calls the Heart-Heart and Home is one of the best episodes of this series. I really, really enjoyed it.
Tom (Jack’s brother) and Julie (Elizabeth’s sister) get into a car accident. So both Jack and Elizabeth go back to Hamilton. Hard feelings and hurt feelings come between are four of these people. Each blaming the other for what happened.
Them Tom and Julie decide to run off together which causes more problems. Also Elizabeth’s dad offers Jack a job so he will be good enough for his daughter, which doesn’t sit well at all.
On top of all of that Elizabeth tells Charles she only wants his friendship, but Charles won’t let it go.
You can just imagine  all of the drama and things that could happen with these things going on. Love, love, love this second season of When Calls the Heart. Highly recommend this for everyone who loves action, adventure, faith and love.

Find a Way DVD A Review

ABOUT FIND A WAY
Finding faith can be difficult for many people on any given day. Imagine an ordinary Sunday morning. It's time to get ready for church and you go to wake your talented, loving. bright, beautiful son. Only, he won't wake up....ever again.

This is how tragedy began for a Burlington, North Carolina family. Their son, Harry Cohen, was a high school senior-a genuinely inspirational young man, star football player, friend to all and a strong Christian. One morning he didn't wake up. The untimely death of an outstanding young person naturally brings up questions about faith and God's presence. How can God allow such a thing to happen? The event obviously has an immense effect on family, friends and the community at large.

Things that previously seamed to be so important are put into perspective and we can gain an understanding as to what is truly important in life. Harry is gone from us, but he continues to inspire actions, words and deeds with a message of faith and hope. Find a Way will stand as a tribute to Harry Cohen and be a beacon of hope to anyone who has ever death with pain and heartache.

MY REVIEW
There are a few Christian movies that just aren’t very good, but Find A Way sure isn’t one of them. This is a very powerful, thought-provoking DVD.  I was riveted to my seat wondering how everything would turn out. Inspired by a true story.
You will really like Smiley {Harry}  he is such a kind, sweet, gentle but strong Christian. Everyone he meets becomes his instant friend. He will help anyone and everyone.
Then the unthinkable happens Smiley a high school Senior suddenly dies.
This DVD shows us how one life can affect so many people. How Smiley makes a difference in so many lives.
Find a Way is such a touching, heart-rending show. It gives you such hope and compassion. It will make you think and bring a tear to your eye.
In this movie we see how his death helps and affects so many people and families. Some on the edge of life changes and horrible mistakes.
I believe this should be the movie of the year. Really, really good and I highly recommend it.

MY REVIEW
Catching Faith tells a story of a perfect family or so it seems. Everything is going so good for them, but then everything breaks lose and they find out how strong their faith really is.
What do you do when you child is caught drinking and is the star on the football team, your daughter is a straight A student and is so pressured she thinks of cheating on a final exam? Will you let it slid or do you bring it to the front? This DVD shows how having faith and doing what the Lord wants us to do is not always easy. You can either go the way of the crowd or do as Jesus wants us to do.
Really enjoyed this DVD because it lets us know that life isn’t always easy. We all have trials and temptations. No one is perfect.
A good DVD to show us how we should live, not just going through the emotions. Highly recommended.

Now You See Me, Kathy Sanders BOOK REVIEW

On April 19, 1995, Kathy Sanders' life was changed forever when a bomb exploded and destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City, killing her two grandsons Chase and Colton.

For months, Kathy struggled with coping and wondered if the God she'd worshipped all her life even existed. After battling bitterness and contemplating suicide, she turned to the Lord and asked what He'd have her do. The answer was clear: Forgive your enemies.

Thus Kathy forged a friendship with Terry Nichols, one of the men convicted in the bombing, via phone conversations, letters, and even face-to-face meetings.

She also began searching for answers about what happened that fateful day in April and found opportunities to cultivate relationships with Nichols' children, mother, sister, wife, and ex-wife in separate turns. She demonstrated the same type of warmth to family members of Timothy McVeigh, the second man convicted of orchestrating the bombing. Her courageous efforts of extending compassion and grace gave her peace and removed the bitterness from her life.

With photos, interviews, and actual letters exchanged between Kathy and Terry Nichols, NOW YOU SEE ME tells the story of one woman who walked the road less traveled and forgave the unforgivable.

Hardcover: 288 pages

ISBN-13: 978-1455526192

Kathy Sanders quickly became the face for the media of the Oklahoma City Bombing because she was one of the first to arrive on the scene. As a painter, she uses art to capture life's important moments and touch people's lives. Kathy and her husband Tom reside in Little Rock, Arkansas. Between them they have six children and thirteen grandchildren.

MY REVIEW
Now you see me by Kathy Sanders is a true account of how she lost her grandsons in the Oklahoma City bombing. She tells of how it happened, where she and her daughter were and what heartbreak they went through.
I admire people who go through something like this and their faith in God grows stronger and they help others after they go through tragedy. She had many losses in a few years. Kathy's life has been riddled with heartache.
Also Kathy talks about how she befriends those responsible for the bombing, one wouldn‘t have anything to do with her. One of the bombers and her started talking (letters, phone calls) she started that to get information and then God tells her she needs to forgive him. She also befriended the bombers sister and mother because they are victims also.
I admire someone who sees past her own pain and loss to look at others and forgive them. I guess none of us really know if we can do that until it happens to us.
I found this book extremely interesting and would highly recommend it for everyone.

THE ACTORS

Lynn Whitfield (Vanessa), one of the most respected members of the African American acting community, is an Emmy Award-winning actress who is well known for the authenticity she brings to her portrayal of women from all walks of life. She vaulted to international fame in the 1991 HBO biopic "The Josephine Baker Story," portraying the legendary Civil Rights fighter. Her performance earned an Emmy Award as "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Special or Miniseries." After taking some time off for her greatest role, mother to daughter Grace with Josephine Baker director and former husband, the late Brian Gibson, Whitfield starred opposite Bill Cosby in "The Cosby Mysteries" (NBC, 1994). Lynn has won five NAACP Image Awards and four nominations for her work in film and television, including "Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story" (2004) co-starring Jamie Foxx. She attracted a new generation of fans in two of the Disney Channel's highest-rated movies, "The Cheetah Girls" (2003) and "The Cheetah Girls 2" (2006). Other select feature film roles include the Chris Rock vehicle, Head of State (2003); Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion (2006); Mama I Want To Sing (2008), a remake of the off-Broadway musical; Kings of the Evening (2008); The Rebound (2010); and Things Fall Apart (2011), produced by and co-starring rapper-actor 50 Cent. She stars as Vanessa in KING'S FAITH, a faith-based film centered on the values of faith and family.

Before he decided to focus on acting, Crawford Wilson (Brendan) was nationally ranked in tennis and a Wilhelmina model. The acting bug took over at age twelve, and he moved to New York City from his family's home in Memphis to pursue his dream of being on the big screen. He later moved to Los Angeles where he landed his first big job: a recurring role CBS's "Judging Amy, playing the boyfriend of Amy's daughter. Crawford's voiceover career took off as well, beginning with the role of young Rodney (Ewan McGregor) in the Fox animated film Robots. Today Crawford continues his voiceover work with recurring roles on hit cartoon shows like "Avatar" and "Batman." Recently television credits include the lead role of Dwayne Dill in the Disney Channel movie, "Hatching Pete." He just completed filming for an NBC movie, "Secrets of the Mountain," playing the lead role of Jake.

Award-winning actor James McDaniel's (Mike) career has spanned more than three decades. He is best known for his role as Lt. Arthur Fancy (for which he won both Peabody and Screen Actor's Guild awards) on the long-running television show, "NYPD Blue." James won both an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award for "Edge of America," a Showtime movie that he also produced. Other television shows include "Hill Street Blues," "LA Law," "Cop Rock," and "Detroit 187." He also was in mini-series from Alex Haley ("Queen") and Steven Spielberg ("Taken"). His film roles include Sunshine State, Malcolm X, and The Road to Galveston. A stage veteran, James recently returned to New York in a successful run of an adaptation of Carson McCullers' "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." He also appeared in a new play by Pulitzer Prize winning author Suzan-Lori Parks, "Father Comes Home from the Wars." His most notable previous stage productions include "A Soldier's Play," "Before It Hits Home," and "Six Degrees of Separation."

Kayla Compton (Natalie) moved to Los Angeles to pursue her longtime dream of acting and singing. She quickly had success and played Monica on the HBO hit, "Entourage." She also appeared on TNT's "Perception." In KING'S FAITH, she plays Natalie, the popular high school cheerleader with a past she is trying to hide. Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Kayla has wanted to be a performer since she was a young girl. Singing was her main passion until her drama teacher in high school told her she should really look into acting, a craft she quickly fell in love with.

Brandon Correa (Eli)  spent most of his life (from ages 4-18) in foster care and group homes. The trials and difficulties he faced would later become his motivation to pursue the arts and allow him to connect to his first major acting role as Eli in KING'S FAITH. While he is new to the acting world, Brandon is an entertainer who spends much of his time writing lyrical music and performing hip hop and rap music.

MY REVIEW
King’s Faith on DVD is an excellent movie full of action, suspense, faith and love. It tells a story of Brendan who had no family and got involved in a bad life with many bad decisions.  In was in and out of many foster families and finally got put in a juvenile penitentiary. While there he became a Christian. When he gets out he has his last chance.
Friends from  Brendan’s past look him up and try to get him to become involved again. They try to pressure  Brendan by going after his new friends.
What will become of him and his faith now that he’s out?
This is a very entertaining DVD and full of action. It captured my young adults attention and they really enjoyed it.  A really nice movie to watch with the whole family. Even though it is a Christian film the acting and scenes are very professionally done.
King’s Faith tells us that with Jesus we have second chances and life can be good and fulfilling. You don’t have to be angry all of the time or out to get everyone. I highly recommend King’s Faith.

MY REVIEW
Season of a Lifetime is an extraordinary, highly inspiring documentary. Showing the faith and integrity of Jeremy Williams. He is a person who never gives up and who keeps praising God no matter what happens in his life.  So many times we complain about ever little thing, but we are so blessed with everything we have and above all our health. Watch this DVD to see a truly courageous man and his wonderful family.
One part of this documentary that I love and find so inspiring is the day Jeremy and his wife find out that he has ALS he tells her we will cry today, but after today we will live life to the fullest, just like nothing has happened. Precious people and they love the Lord so much.
I love the way Jeremy cares for his players on his football team. They consider him a father figure. That is very special since some of them have no father. He cares and loves his team and family. Also besides Jeremy’s disease his son was born with Spina Bifida and many other troubles. This documentary is truly about Faith, Family and Football. I have never enjoyed and loved watching a DVD as much as this one. I highly recommend that you buy this for your family library.
