ABOUT THE STUDENT BODY
This true story really shows us how we can be cruel without even meaning to. The Student Body tells the story of two girls fighting against bullying and the government insincerity while investigating the problem of childhood obesity.
Different schools made the children get weighed and then they find out what there BMI is So if don’t fit within the numbers there were sent a letter saying they were not without certain numbers and essentially told they were fat.
I think this is very unfair as children and young adults are at a stage when they think everything about themselves is wrong. They think they are to fat, to skinny, their hair is to straight or to curly etc… Now to put this on them is just to much.
One of the girls is a journalist major and made this film documentary to try to get to the bottom of why the children were sent letters. She also tried numerous times to talk to her senator and he wouldn’t talk to her. She tried emails, phone calls, tried to see him at a rally. Then she went to his office and confronted him face to face.
This is quite an excellent documentary and I recommend it for each and every one.  It kept me very interested and it will show you if you don’t give up you will get answers to your questions.

MY REVIEW
Living Hope is a wonderful documentary about three people who changed their lives to help and serve people in South Africa.  I was moved and greatly inspired by all of these people. They are doing as the Lord tells us, to serve the sick and poor.
John Thomas, a pastor who with his church are helping the sick, hungry and dying.  In this DVD you can find out why they are helping the sick and poor and meet some of the people that they have helped. How through this program they are bringing many souls to the Lord.
Joey Lankford a very prosperous businessman and father of four. He had everything anyone could want, but something was missing from his life. God spoke to him and Joey followed the Lord. They moved to Cape Town and Joey is helping the people with job skills and helping them get out of poverty. I really was inspired by this young man and his wife. He really has a heart for the people and doing the will of the Lord.
Leonie Rustin, is a single mom and she is an assistant nurse. She was very addicted to drugs and doing her own thing. She is an amazing lady. Leonie really loves the Lord and the people who are around her that are addicted to drugs and prostitution. She tries to help as many as she can to come clean and live a decent life.
All three of these people are doing a mighty work for the Lord and His kingdom. It is so inspiring and amazing what a person can do if they just try. As long as you have God on your side you can do anything.
I highly recommend this documentary. You will be blessed just by watching it.

This gripping new documentary film tells the untold story of millions of women in India who are culturally oppressed for no other reason than the fact that they are women. However, despite the centuries of oppression, there are those who are reaching out and bringing hope to these women.

These are the faces of true survivors. Those who have withstood a lifetime of adversity in the face of a culture stacked against them. Take a heartfelt journey through the eyes of these women, and others, who unveil their personal stories of persecution, rejection, abandonment, tragedy and even triumph. Narrated by Grammy-Nominated Recording Artist Natalie Grant, this film was shot on-location across the stunning nation of India in some of the most remote tribal villages in the world today. This is a journey where few outsiders have gone before.

While the film, "Veil of Tears", brings into focus the truth behind a dark reality existing in the world today, we are excited to highlight the hope being given to countless millions of women each day through the work and ministry of GFA.

Proceeds of this film will be donated toward our continued efforts to change lives on a social, educational, health and spiritual level. We invite you to take a moment to learn more about the mission of GFA and how you can be a part of our movement to rescue generations of women from persecution and rejection and into the hope of Jesus Christ.

MY REVIEW
Veil of Tears is quite a DVD. It tells about the life cycle of women in different parts of India/Asia. How very horrible the things they have to go through. In Asia women aren’t treated like human, but more like animals. Having a female child is the worse thing that can happen, or not having enough money to pay the man to marry a woman.  Another really sad thing is young girls are made to marry at a very early age, they are slaves and if they become a widow they are cast out from everyone and everything they know. The woman is considered bad luck if her husband dies and it’s like her fault.
What {besides all of the above} I found very disturbing is that an alarming amount of women commit suicide. Many, many women are made to get abortions if they know they are having a girl. In these countries about ¾ of the people are male. They kill off all of the girl babies.
There is a group of people called Gospel for Asia and also Bridge of Hope who are trying to help these women to have something to hope for and part of that is reaching the men and teaching them the gospel. They learn that God loves the women and wants the men to treat them as human and love them. Some of the girls and women haven’t felt love until they come to these churches.
My feelings on this DVD is that it really opens your eyes and makes you want to help. I also wish that in the DVD they would have spent a longer time talking about the good that is coming from these organizations and the hope that they have. Over ¾ of the DVD talks on the bad and ugly lives these women have to endure.
This DVD is a really good way to show your church or group about what needs to be done and how we can do it. I recommend it.

MY REVIEW
Season of a Lifetime is an extraordinary, highly inspiring documentary. Showing the faith and integrity of Jeremy Williams. He is a person who never gives up and who keeps praising God no matter what happens in his life.  So many times we complain about ever little thing, but we are so blessed with everything we have and above all our health. Watch this DVD to see a truly courageous man and his wonderful family.
One part of this documentary that I love and find so inspiring is the day Jeremy and his wife find out that he has ALS he tells her we will cry today, but after today we will live life to the fullest, just like nothing has happened. Precious people and they love the Lord so much.
I love the way Jeremy cares for his players on his football team. They consider him a father figure. That is very special since some of them have no father. He cares and loves his team and family. Also besides Jeremy’s disease his son was born with Spina Bifida and many other troubles. This documentary is truly about Faith, Family and Football. I have never enjoyed and loved watching a DVD as much as this one. I highly recommend that you buy this for your family library.
