ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Brandy Vallance fell in love with the Victorian time period at a young age, loving the customs, manners, and especially the intricate rules of love. Since time travel is theoretically impossible, she lives in the nineteenth century vicariously through her novels. Unaccountable amounts of black tea have fueled this ambition. Brandy's love of tea can only be paralleled by her love of Masterpiece Theater Classics, deep conversations, and a good book. Brandy is the 2013 Operation First Novel winner and the 2012 winner of the ACFW Genesis Contest for historical romance. MY REVIEW
The Covered Deep by Brandy Vallance is a very good book for a first time author. I really enjoyed the book and felt it was full of such love, but also had a lot of secrets and sadness.
When Bianca and three others won a trip to the Holy Land it wasn’t what it seemed. To the four of them it just seemed like a wonderful opportunity, but to the one who made the trip possible it was just a set up to see how two of these people who are Christians would act when they are confronted with the most horrible things. It is such a tricky, hateful plan.
I didn’t like the parts when they were in the Holy Land and they couldn’t even enjoy it, because they were thinking of their own problems and didn’t think about such History and beauty they were missing out on.
It was also a very tender story, but full of such secrets and lies. For a first time author this was a wonderful book. I look forward to reading more of Brandy Vallance’s books.
Even though this book has lots of troubles and secrets taking away from the Holy Land I still think it is worth reading.
Really did enjoy it.

ABOUT HACKER
My name is Nyah and I'm a hacker. I know things most people would never believe. Things that shouldn't exist, but do.

Seventeen year old Nyah Parks is a genius hacker whose world is unraveling. Deeply scarred from a horrific accident that killed her father and brother, and left her mother with irreparable brain damage, Nyah is barely holding the last shreds of her life together.

Now, her mother's health is deteriorating quickly and Nyah faces the grim prospect of losing her, too. One last ditch hope exists--an experimental brain surgery that could buy her mother more time. But Nyah must scrape together enough money to pay for it before it's too late.

Desperate and with no other choice, Nyah turns her programming skills to cracking the firewalls of the world's largest corporations. She exposes their weaknesses, and then offers her services to secure their systems from hackers.

But when the most dangerous job of her life backfires and forces her to go on the run, she encounters an impossible reality that shouldn't exist, but does.

A hack unlike any other. A hack that will take her beyond the firewall of the human brain itself. A hack, which may be the only way to save her mother now.

What if there was a way to tap into the unseen reality that surrounds us all? Would you hack in? How far would you go to find the answers to your deepest questions? The answer lies deep beyond the firewall.

Tap in, strap in, and experience the mind-twisting ride with Nyah. What you find waiting on the other side of the firewall might forever change the way you see yourself and the world you live in.

Dekker proceeded to write 6 more supernatural thrillers, rising to the top of many bestsellers lists and earning himself critical acclaim and legions of fans. MY REVIEW
There has never been a Ted Dekker book that I haven’t loved. He knows how to capture you in a book and keep you there. Hacker is part of The Outlaw Chronicles and I just loved this one.
Nyah {love that name} is only seventeen, but in her short life she has lived a lifetime. It is full of adventure, but plenty of loss and heartache. She can hack anything and get in anywhere, but the last time she went to far and crimeals are out to get her.
Her mom is dying and also her best friend. How can she help them and save herself.  Nyah and Austin can only think of one thing that could help going inside and hacking their brains. Could they go deep enough to save her mom and Austin.
Hacker is full of heart-stopping/heart-dropping suspense. Highly recommended. Love this book.

My hands and feet won't stop shaking. Some will say that I'm not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don't even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave. MY REVIEW
Eyes Wide Open by Ted Dekker starts his newest series, The Outlaw Chronicles.  I love Ted Dekker’s books and starting a new series is very exciting.
The first page of Eyes Wide Open caught me and I couldn’t wait to see how this one turned out. What an exciting beginning.
The characters are very real and you can experience what they are right along with them. Ted always described things in such a way that you feel like you are there and going through the same things.
I really like Christy and Austin. How they are so similar in some ways, but totally opposite in others. They really care for each other and are there for each other.
I’m really excited about this series and love the first story and how it turned out. I’m always amazed how Ted ends his stories. They are always surprising and refreshing. Not the same old things some authors write about. I highly recommend this 5-star book. I bought this myself and didn’t have to review it, but I love it and wanted others to know.

Water Walker by Ted Dekker-My Review

Thirteen-year-old orphan Alice Ringwald has no memory beyond six months ago. The only life she knows is the new one she's creating one day at a time with the loving couple that recently adopted her and gave her new hope. That hope, however, is shattered one night when she is abducted by a strange man. In a frantic FBI man hunt, the kidnapper vanished with Alice. So begins Water Walker, a modern-day parable that examines the staggering power of forgiveness, and reminds us that it's possible to live free of the hurt that keeps our souls in chains.

Really a fantastic book by Ted Dekker. Water Walker from the very first chapter, even first line grabbed me and I couldn’t wait to read every word and find out what happened next. Alice got into such a mess that I felt that there was no way she would ever get out or even live, but Ted pulled it through again at the very end. Water Walker is part of The Outlaw Chronicles. You don’t need to read The Outlaw, but it gives you back story. Also if you want to know the whole story you should also read Showdown, another unbelievable  book.
I love how Ted works forgiving everyone and knowing no matter what happens to you on this earth it’s just happens to your outside shell. A very well written, highly interesting book. I very much recommend Water Walker. I didn’t review this for any publishing company or for the author. I just wanted everyone to know what an excellent book this is.

MY REVIEW
I, Saul by Jerry B. Jenkins is a fascinating novel. It goes back and forth from modern day Augustine Knox to Saul of Tarsus when he was in prison right before he died. They are connected by Saul’s writings from two-thousand years ago.
This book is full of suspense and intrigue.
I never really thought to much about Saul’s time in prison and how it might have been for him or how his friends might have felt.
Also it shows you how some people will do anything and harm anyone who gets in their way when they find and think they have something priceless’
Jerry B. Jenkins is a master teller of tales, he really gets to the meat of the story and doesn’t add a bunch of nonsense.
Really enjoyed this book and glad I get to review it. Very good and I recommend you to read this fascinating novel.

As Good As She Imagined by Roxanna Green with Jerry B. Jenkins~ A Review~

ABOUT AS GOOD AS SHE IMAGINED
The story of the little girl whose shooting death at a political rally in Tucson in January 2011 shook our nation—and whose life and legacy continue to be an inspiration.
Christina-Taylor Green was beautiful, precocious, and popular, a member of her elementary school’s student council and the only girl on her Little League team. Born on 9/11/2001, it was perhaps no surprise that she harbored aspirations of becoming a politician—thus her presence at the political rally that fateful day in Tucson last January. Congressman Gabrielle Giffords was severely wounded in the gunman’s splay of bullets; six others were killed, including Christina, the youngest of the victims.
But this inspirational book recounts far more than the events of “the tragedy of Tucson.” Written by Christina’s mother (with New York Times best-selling biographer Jerry Jenkins), As Good as She Imagined celebrates this little girl’s life, along with the hope that has been born out of a nation’s loss and a family’s grief.

MY REVIEW
This is an amazing book. The true story of the 9 year old girl who was killed in the Tucson tragedy last January. I was pulled in from the very first and was enthralled throughout.
The book tells of how Christina-Taylor’s parents met, fell in love and their life before Christina was born. There is a lot of back story in this book, but it really is necessary.
I found it quite interesting to hear of Roxanna and John’s story, also of the birth of their first child Dallas. The way they moved to different places and also the many trips they took.
Roxanna does most of the telling of this story, but John also shares many things. You would think a book about the death of a child would be only sad and morose, but this one is full of hope and about continuing on when you just don’t feel like it.
Roxanna tells the many different things her daughter was interested in. She loved so many people and helped those unfortunate. She was always looking for people to help and causes to support. She loved politics and was always learning.
I love to read books of life stories and this one is so excellent. I highly recommend this book. It is one that will really inspire you.
