Where I Am by Billy Graham A Review

While his earthly vision dims, the glory of heaven is illuminated as Billy Graham, the beloved evangelist, shares from his past, and his present, the reality of eternity.

Although Billy Graham may no longer preach from the stadiums of the world, in this book you will sense his heart still beats strong with the resounding assurance that he will spend eternity with Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. In Where I Am, Mr. Graham invites and strongly encourages all of us to contemplate our eternal hope.

When asked, “Where is Heaven?” Mr. Graham has wisely replied, “Heaven is where Jesus Christ is, and I'm going to Him soon.”

The greatest promise ever given to the human race came from the lips of our Redeemer when Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3). Just after his ninety-fifth birthday, Mr. Graham proclaimed with resolve, “When I die, tell others that I've gone to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—that's where I am.”

As our nation and world travail in the midst of political, economic, and cultural uncertainties, we can find comfort in the hope that comes from the unchanging truth of God's Word. Whether talking with a US president, a world leader, or the common man or being interviewed on network television, Billy Graham has always begun his answers with “The Bible says…”

In Where I Am, Mr. Graham shares what the Bible has to say about eternity from all of its sixty-six books; messages of truth, warning, love, and the certainty of the future, all gleaned by a man who would like to be remembered solely as a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Each short chapter examines the reality that each of us chooses where to spend life after death: Heaven or Hell. From the Old Testament writer who composed “Show me Your ways, O Lord” (Psalm 25:4) to the New Testament writer who penned the words of Jesus, “Whoever believes in [Me] should not perish” (John 3:16), there is hope for anyone who puts his or her faith and trust in the One who gives us the promise, “Where I am, there you may be also” (14:3).

BILLY GRAHAM, world-renowned preacher, evangelist, and author, has delivered the Gospel message to more people face-to-face than anyone in history and has ministered on every continent of the world, in more than 185 countries. Millions have read his inspirational classics, including Angels, Peace with God, The Holy Spirit, Hope for the Troubled Heart, How to Be Born Again, The Journey, Nearing Home, and The Reason for My Hope: Salvation.

MY REVIEW
Where I Am by Billy Graham is an awe-inspiring book. Rev. Graham is in his Nineties, but very alert and his mind is still as sharp as ever. In this wonderful book Billy Graham goes through every book in the Bible, all sixty-six of them and points out truths, warnings and hope for us to grab unto in a ever changing world.
One quote from his book Where I Am, that I love is this. Talking about Jesus, “This penniless preacher has invited the whole world to His coronation. Have you accepted the engraved invitation from the Heavenly palace, sealed with His royal emblem-thee distinguishing mark of His royal blood?”
Billy talks about how much he is looking forward to going home to Heaven. It just makes you look forward to going home yourself.
The book talks about how God is a God of love, but also of justice and mercy. He loves us, but won’t put up with our sin. Also how even the vilest person God wants them to come to Him.
In Where I Am, Billy Graham tells us that Hell wasn’t made for humans, but for the devil and his followers, but those who don’t accept Jesus will go there. It’s a very sad and sobering thought that people will go to hell.
This book is full of so much truth and insight that you need to read it. I very highly recommend it. Thank you Rev. Billy Graham.

The first book in the series, A Picnic, a Toad and Swampwater Road, takes the young reader on a picnic adventure with The Lemonman and his friends, along with a trouble-making Pear and a swindling Toad. MY REVIEW
The Lemonman- A Picnic, A Toad and Swampwater Road is a delightful book any child will love. Besides the pictures being colorful and inviting the rhyming words have a singing kind of way about them. The characters are so sweet and lovable. Even the name of the town is neat. It is called Applenook.
You will follow Lemonman as he wants to have a picnic with his friends, but get sidetracked and tricked into losing his picnic lunch. I like how the cunning, sneaky Toad gets taught a lesson, but is also shown compassion and forgiveness when he asks.
The best part of this book is that it is a series. I’m sure Lemonman will have so many more adventures and lessons to teach our child.
I highly recommend this book for a delightful read with lessons to be taught.

Go Away, Mr. Worrythoughts & Happythoughts are Everywhere by Nicky Johnston*A Review

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR TWO DELIGHTFUL BOOKS

Nicky Johnston
Author, Illustrator & Educator

Nicky's eldest son, Bayley, was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) at just 5 years of age. In her desperate efforts to help him manage his 'worry thoughts' she wrote him a story. This story is now a best selling children's book helping many 'little worriers' everywhere...

Nicky has self-published two highly successful children's books, developed Parent/Teacher Resource Kits and has helped promote awareness of mental health issues in young children by presenting to many schools, conferences and workshops.

By helping her son, she has touched the lives of many like him, and will continue to do so....

MY REVIEW OF GO AWAY MR WORRRYTHOUGHTS!
This book is just simply amazing. I really like that Nicky wrote these two books to help her son with his disorder GAD. I love how Bayden finally finds out how to stop worrying about everything. A lot of people need to do that themselves. We all worry too much.
All of the illustrations are so neat. The worry thoughts monster seems really scary, but he can be taken care of.
The worrythoughts try to come back, but now Bayden knows how to get rid of them and how to control them. I like the colors in this book, the monster is dark and scary, but the other pages are light and colorful. Full of hope and happiness is what you can expect from this super book.
I really recommend it for any of us, but especially for those children who may worry more than normal. In the back of this book are some ideas to keep worrythoughts away from a child.

MY REVIEW OF HAPPYTHOUGHTS ARE EVERYWHERE
Another really sweet book. I love how cute and cuddly Bayden looks. In this book Bayden was worrying again so his mum told him to think happythoughts and that would push the worrythoughts away. So Bayden searches for happy thoughts under his bed in his toy box, in his closet. He only found his teddy bear, the Christmas decorations and special photos. So Bayden thought he couldn’t find happythoughts, but thought how each of those things made him feel and it was happy. So he did find happythoughts after all.
In the back of this book you will also find ways to find happythoughts.
These are just lovely books that really give a child joy. Another book I highly recommend.
