Remembering Dresden by Dan Walsh-A Review

ABOUT REMEMBERING DRESDEN
Remembering Dresden (Jack Turner Suspense Series Book 2)

Young history professor, Jack Turner, takes a retreat at a lakeside cabin just outside of Culpepper, Georgia to work on his doctoral dissertation. The cabin is owned by an ambitious state senator, an inheritance from his father. Inside, everything is exactly the way it was when the old man died ten years ago. While taking a break from his research, Jack snoops through the father’s books and finds an old photo album filled with black-and-white pictures of orphaned children. Intrigued, he continues searching and finds what appears to be evidence of murder and an old leather journal, handwritten entirely in German. Rachel Cook, Jack’s girlfriend, translates the journal for him. What it reveals instantly puts both of their lives in mortal danger.

MY REVIEW
Remembering Dresden by Dan Walsh is book 2 in the Jack Turner Suspense Series.  Usually Dan didn’t write suspense novels, but I’m sure glad he started. Love these books.
In this book Jack rents a cabin of a famous senator (a gift from his father)  and uncovers quite a story. He noses around in the photo albums and ever under a loose floor board.
Under the floor board he uncovers a safe with a journal. It is written entirely in German. Jack’s girlfriend translates it and what they find out is horrible.
The things they find out puts Jack and his girlfriend Rachel in harms way. When you are a senator and want to stay one you will do almost anything to keep the secrets hidden.
Really good second book in this series. You don’t need to read book one to enjoy it, but it does help you to understand the characters much better.
 Highly recommended.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dan and his wife live in the Daytona Beach area where he's busy writing and researching his next novel. They have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren.

MY REVIEW
Rescuing Finley by Dan Walsh is just a wonderful book. In this first book of the Forever Home series it tells about the life of three different characters. Finley the dog, Amy a young lady who made a lot of mistakes in life and Chris a marine who served in Afghanistan and suffered greatly.
Before we get to Amy or Chris, Finley’s story starts as being a dog to a wonderful young man who loved him greatly, but they also lived with the young man, Chaz’s mother. She wasn’t a dog person. So when Chaz went to war and didn’t come back, Finley got taken to the shelter.
Amy was in prison and joined the dog training for Vets program. She never owned a dog, but always wanted to. Chris made it back from the war, but was emotional scarred. Would a dog help him? Follow the lives of these three amazing characters. Each one struggling in their own way. Can they find happiness together or not?
This book is highly emotional, fantastic story from an excellent author. Look forward to reading the other books in this series. Recommended to anyone who loves animals, Vets and stories of people who made wrong decisions.

When Night Comes by Dan Walsh *Review*

ABOUT WHEN NIGHT COMES

Jack Turner comes back to Culpepper to give a series of lectures for his old history professor. Within days, he starts having bizarre experiences at night. Like he’s traveling back in time, experiencing the epic events in his lectures firsthand. He has no control over these experiences and can’t make them stop.

Joe Boyd thought he’d left big city crime back in Pittsburgh when he took a detective job in Culpepper, Georgia, a sleepy southern college town. His peaceful life ends when two students turn up dead in two weeks. The coroner is saying natural causes, but something doesn’t add up.

Rachel Cook, a teaching assistant at Culpepper, can’t believe Jack is back in her life again. She’s had a crush on him since she was fourteen, but Jack never knew. He instantly seems attracted to her, but she can tell…something is deeply troubling him.
Watching all this from a distance is Nigel Avery. He’s certain this experiment’s about to unravel. It’ll be his job to tie up all the loose ends when it does.

Bestselling author Dan Walsh is known for page-turning storylines. Fans of his novels The Discovery and What Follows After will especially love…When Night Comes.

MY REVIEW
When Night Comes is an incredible, fascinating book. This is a different kind of book than the kind Dan Walsh usually writes and I think this is his best one yet. I just love the whole idea of the book. Can’t wait for book 2.
Jack and Rachel are very interesting characters. Their love story is sweet, but When Night Comes is really about suspense and intrigue. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book and couldn’t wait to finish, but at the same time dreading the book being done. It is so appealing you would like it to go on forever. I was really wondering how everything could turn out, because at times there seemed no good way for When Night Comes to end.
Very, very much enjoyed When Night Comes and highly recommend it for all of you lovers of suspenseful books. Excellent job Dan Walsh!
