ABOUT LET GOD
When all is lost, there is hope. As rumors of gold in California spread across the United States in 1848, Levi decides it is time to head west with Amelia, his young housewife, to stake their claim and build a better life. Against her better judgment, Amelia honors her husband’s demands, leaving her home and family. Secretly, they join the last wagon caravan of the season dangerously late, leaving behind a string of bad debts. On the trail, they encounter unimaginable danger that will ultimately change the course of their lives.
After a savage attack takes her husband, Amelia is left alone and without resources. For the first time, Amelia must take life into her own hands, battling winter, hunger, and the unknown. As she grows weaker by the day, she finds strength in a mysterious and unexpected guide. Survival becomes a race against time and Amelia must find something greater than herself to help survive the frigid winter along the Oregon Trail,
Word Films is set to release Breckenridge Film Festival’s 2013 “Best Feature” and “Best Actress” winner “Let God” on DVD on February 25. The faith-based film follows the story of young housewife, Amelia, who heads west with her husband during the 19th century gold rush and is left alone without resources in the harsh wilderness when her husband is killed in a savage attack. Battling winter, hunger and the unknown, Amelia must take life into her own hands as she struggles with a loss of faith and battles for her survival.
“There’s a gap between ritual and faith, and we explore that,” said “Let God” writer/director/producer William Parker. “The character of Amelia is very ritual oriented – she goes to church, she read the Bible…but through the movie she kind of gives up on it. Amelia struggles with loss of faith, feeling she’s been abandoned by God and is completely on her own.” “In the end, she realizes that not only does she actually find her faith, she actually really believes, genuinely, ‘This is what I was looking for,’” adds Jasmin Jandreau who plays Amelia. “She realizes, through another connection in the film that comes along, that God was with her the whole time, and God was communicating with her the whole time.”
In addition to winning both “Best Feature” and “Best Actress” honors at the 2013 Breckenridge Film Festival, “Let God” was also an official selection at the 2013 Gideon Film Festival and has earned the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for any age. “This is a terrific Story!” said the Dove Foundation. “The writer/director and leading actress Jasmine Jandreau, as Amelia, somehow manage to make this story of survival a powerful movie about trials and a faith that overcomes all odds…You will enjoy watching this one. Don’t miss it!”

MY REVIEW
I love DVDs that show of a struggle against nature and oneself and that’s what I thought this DVD Let God would be. It tells the story of Amelia and her husband going West to make a better life for themselves. Levi the husband makes many bad decisions and leads their wagon away from the others. Levi gets attacked and dies. So Amelia is all alone on the Oregon Trail and has to go on.
The reasons I didn’t care for Let God is because the plot was very shallow and so many things happened that I couldn’t believe. Like, Amelia doesn’t have a coat, gloves, socks and still in the snow she doesn’t freeze or even get frostbite. She doesn’t meet up with any wild animals, except for a raccoon. Which would be impossible in the days of the 1800’s.
A little boy just appears when Amelia wants to give up and just is company for her. They don’t talk the same language, but they share friendship and warmth.
It looked like a wonderful story, but I was disappointed.

In an accident he is blinded and Ananias, who follows "The Way," prays for him. His sight returns taking him off his hate-filled course and he learns to live and love "The Way." Word Films announces the March 11 DVD release of faith-based film “My Name is Paul” by producers Jurgen Beck and Vanessa Ore. The film, using the analogy of the Apostle Paul who started as a zealous persecutor of Christians, follows Paul’s hate-filled intentions to destroy Peter (the enemy of his leader) when an unforeseen accident and miraculous self-discovery lead him down a different path where he learns to live and love “The Way” (Christ). “My Name is Paul” stars Michael Joiner of “The Grace Card” and Shannen Fields of “Facing the Giants” and has been awarded the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages 12+.
“If God can use a guy like Paul, who called himself the Chief of Sinners, what can He do with a guy like me or the person that watches this film,” said the film’s director Trey Ore. “Paul is one of the most referenced people in the Bible, yet many don't know how ruthless this man truly was. I now have a better understanding of what grace is all about. So, if we can help even one person understand that we are never too far for God to reach us, this film was worth making.”
Ore continued, “After our first private screening of ‘My Name is Paul’ I was told how this movie spoke to a Vietnam veteran that had been haunted for the last 40 years by his past difficult missions and decisions. When this man saw how ruthless Paul was and that God still had a purpose for him, it gave him hope. He saw that God's grace could cover even his transgressions.”
"From the moment I arrived on the set of ‘My Name is Paul’ I knew that God was present in a very special way...and sure enough these filmmakers have taken a small budget and made a film a hundred times greater,” said Michael Joiner. “I have seen the movie twice now and feel it is destined to be one of the greatest faith based films ever made. Not only creatively, but also in its ability to reach a hurting world for the Gospel. I am extremely blessed to have been a part."

The film is the follow up film to the award-winning short film by the same name and winner of “Redemptive Storyteller Award” at the 2011 Redemptive Film Festival, an official selection of the 2011UK Christian Film Festival, the 2011 International Christian Film Festival, the 2011 Maranatha Christian International Film Festival, the 2011San Diego Christian Film Festival and the 2011 Kingdomwood Film Festival. It has a running time of 100 minutes.
MY REVIEW
My Name is Paul is a fantastic DVD. It tells the Bible story of Paul, but in the present/future kind of setting.
All of the people’s names are the same as the Bible and the Christians are called The Way and the ones against them and anything to do with the Bible are called The World.
My Name is Paul is a very action-packed, suspenseful DVD. It shows how Christians were persecuted, are and will be again to a very big way. The first few scenes shows Paul chasing down Christians and killing them and how Paul is recognized as a great leader.
The Paul is in a car accident and loses his sight and gets lost. The members of The Way pick him up take him to their hospital and then the action really starts.
I was really excited to get and review this DVD. It is a incredible one to show to your family, church or other groups. You will be entertained and amazed at My Name is Paul. I highly recommend it and want you to know it would be an excellent addition to your DVD collection.

He and his lovable feathered friends live in the Holy Land in a beautiful Cypress Tree on the shores of a vast Lake (or as we know it, the Sea of Galilee). MY REVIEW
I received two DVDs in the Iesodo series {Yay-So-Doe}. Iesodo means the way of Jesus. It is mainly for children and it is a teaching DVD about different things in the Bible. The two DVDs I received are called Love and Faith.
Iesodo is a wise dove and he has many bird followers. In these DVDs Iesodo represents Jesus and the other birds the disciples. there are also birds to represent the evil rulers and even the devil. This format is very entertaining and easy to understand even for the very young.
Each DVD has two excellent stories from the Bible that will teach your child while they are really enjoying them.
The DVDs are high quality and the birds and scenes are very colorful and fun. Each story has songs included that are very catchy and full of meaning.
I love them all, but my favorite is The Wind and the Rain in the Faith DVD.
This is a 5-star DVD and I highly recommend them. Collect all for your children/grandchildren/friends or church.

MY REVIEW
The Bible by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett is taken from an 10 hour mini series called The Bible. The book tells the story from Jesus’ Triumphal entry and goes through His ascension.
The pictures in the book are quite beautiful, it’s a hard cover book. The writing style is present tense.
I didn’t watch the series on T.V., but I can tell it was a very good movie. Reading the book I found a few things that aren’t in the Bible and have heard that happened on the series also.
Watching the series or reading the book are fine and very good as long as you know your Bible and what happened.
It’s a beautiful book to have and read at Easter and really all year. I recommend this book The Bible A story of Easter and all of us for those that know your Bible.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is DiVoran Lites. I am the author of the Florida Springs Trilogy. All three books: Sacred Spring, Living Spring, and Clear Spring are now available at Kindle and on Amazon in print. Each book has its own complete cast of characters and story, but as you read them, you will find the people are a community of family and friends who have known and loved each other for many years. You will watch conflicts, common to man, played out in the characters' lives. You'll read such vivid descriptions of the fabulous Florida Springs that, according to reviewers, you will feel as if you've visited them yourself.
I'm told that even as a toddler I loved books and carried them around. Reading has been a passion ever since. It didn't take long to discover that the best enhancement for reading was writing. I started writing the story of my life in a back booth in my parents'restaurant in a mountain valley in Colorado. Dad said that since I was only seven years old, it would be a short story. I didn't understand the humor at the time. Since then writing has been my calling, and life and love have been my learning labs.
I am married to Bill, an areonautical engineer. We have two children and two granchildren. The way God works with people, and the creations he has given us to enjoy are my favorite subjects.
MY REVIEW
Living Spring by DiVoran Lites is book 2 in the Florida Springs Trilogy series. I’m really enjoying this series. The first book was about Hank and Elaine. Book 2 is about Hank’s sister Jean who is a single mom.
She has suffered from anxiety because of her parents death and becoming involved with a man who became her child’s father.
In this book we see clearly good and evil and what some evil people will do to get what they want. Jean is inexperienced and believes the best in everyone. She wants the father of her child to marry her so things will be right, but she doesn’t understand how bad of a person he is.
Jean is fixing up a home to call her own and gets help from many people. Will she make the right decisions’ in her life with the man who God has for her.
Really an interesting read that makes you want to read more. Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW
Priscilla Hires a Husband by Loree Lough is a fun, inspiring read. Priscilla and Caleb both have a problem and only marriage to each other would solve those problems.
Priscilla can’t inherit her aunts estate unless she marries and she desperately needs it to help her aging grandparents. They lost everything in a fire. Caleb loves his small ranch, but he will lose it unless he gets money quickly.
Neither want marriage, but it seems the only solution. So they get married and they are thrown into many circumstances. You won’t believe the things they endure, but they also help each other. Will they fall in love or will this be a loveless marriage just for name only?
Loree Lough is a fun, exciting author whom knows how to write and keep you reading. I recommend Priscilla Hires a Husband.

MY REVIEW
Harvest of Gold by Tessa Afshar is a magnificent novel. It is a historical novel taken from the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. Put in Tessa’s words “Harvest of Gold is a love story. But at its core, it is also a novel about overcoming in the midst of battle.”
This is book two in a series. The first book was titled Harvest of Rubies. You can read Harvest of Gold without reading Harvest of Rubies, but I think reading both would make your reading experience much richer. All characters are explained in Harvest of Gold, but you would really benefit from the backgrounds of those characters.
Tessa Afshar is an excellent author and her characters are rich and colorful. She can paint pictures with her words.
Harvest of Gold tells such a tender love story between man and woman, both also between man and God. It is a precious story that will keep you reading late into the night. Highly recommended.

Book 2
Tessa Afshar
The scribe Sarah married Darius, and at times she feels as if she has married the Persian aristocracy, too. There is another point she did not count on in her marriage-Sarah has grown to love her husband. Sarah has wealth, property, honor, and power, but her husband's love still seems unattainable.
Although his mother was an Israelite, Darius remains skeptical that his Jewish wife is the right choice for him, particularly when she conspires with her cousin Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Ordered to assist in the effort, the couple begins a journey to the homeland of his mother's people. Will the road filled with danger, conflict, and surprising memories, help Darius to see the hand of God at work in his life-and even in his marriage?
A hidden message, treachery, opposition, and a God-given success, will lead to an unlikely bounty.

Snapshot By Lis Wiehl A REVIEW
ABOUT SNAPSHOT
Two little girls, frozen in black and white. One picture worth killing for.
Federal prosecutor Lisa Waldren’s estranged father wants her to investigate a cold case from his FBI days. Lisa nearly refuses, even though a wrongly convicted man faces execution for murder. Then her father reveals a photograph: a little white girl playing alongside a little black girl at a rally in 1965 where the shooting of a civil rights leader took place. She recognizes herself in the photo.
She was there.
Lisa agrees to help, resolved to boldly seek answers she’s skirted for decades. What she discovers are layers of deception, both personal and professional, reaching as high as the head of the FBI. Possibly even the president.
And though Lisa and the other girl may have escaped the 1965 shooting physically unharmed, her little friend, now grown, bears the scars of it. All because of the color of her skin. As Lisa and her father get closer to the truth, the real killer turns the hunt around.

MY REVIEW
Snapshot by Lis Wiehl is an excellent Mystery/Suspense novel. Lis’s dad gave her of photograph of her and another little girl at Civil Rights Movement. So Lis took that photograph and made a fictional story out of it. What an amazing idea to tell a story from a real photograph. What a wonderful job she did.
This story is also a story of the relationships between father/daughter and man/woman. I love the characters and the scenes. Even the evil characters are quite intriguing. You will be captivated as the plot unwinds.
I like how everything and most departments covered up the real mystery in this case. Even the FBI and why they did it. Lis Wiehl is an excellent author and she outdid herself in this novel. It is full of suspense, mystery, relationships and love. The ending was superb and I highly recommend this fantastic book.
