My Review:
Not a Sparrow Falls written by Linda Nichols is the best book I’ve read this year. If you don’t read any other books read this one. You won’t be disappointed. From the prologue I was captivated. Mary Bridget Washburn was raised in a Christian home, but things went horribly wrong. She was involved in the making and distribution of drugs. These bad choices haunt her daily. She wants to get away from her trouble and start life over. Mary starts helping people and then things start to turn around for her. She starts to help a little girl and becomes involved with a pastors family. The Reverend Alasdair MacPherson is a widow with three children to raise on his own. He fell apart after the death of his wife. He became too involved with other activities, not taking care of his congregation and they are asking for his resignation. This book shows how we all need to be loved and talked to. It really makes a difference to be important to at least one other person in life. Caring for others can really change their life and yours in the process. All this time Mary doesn’t believe that she can be forgiven or worthy to be loved. Soon trouble comes calling and the adventure starts. I highly recommend this book. You will enjoy it greatly. I haven’t read any of Linda Nichols’ books before, but plan on reading them all.

Hunter's Moon
About the book:
Every family has its secrets...
Best-selling novelist CJ Baxter is known for writing hard-hitting stories ripped from his own life. But there's one story he's never told. A toxic secret that's haunted him too long.
Now, after seventeen years, CJ is headed home, determined to expose the truth. But a black sheep airing the family's dirty laundry is the last thing CJ's brother, Graham--and his campaign for Senate--can afford. With so much at stake, there's nothing the Baxter’s won't do to keep their secret...
My Review
Hunter’s Moon is an excellent book. I really like the picture on the cover of the smoking gun and the title of the book. I always look in the book to find out what both of these mean. I thought this book was clear on what they meant. CJ is an author and his grandfather passed away, CJ decided to return to his hometown to attend the funeral. That is when all of the past comes at him. All of the things he has tried to cover up or forget his whole life. Hunter’s Moon has many things, secrets, domestic violence, anger, bitterness and you can see how all of this affects the family. One holds a secret about the other that has shaped the entire families lives and could destroy their future. CJ Baxter has only recently become a Christian, and he is still struggling but makes the right life choices in the end. CJ has been away from his hometown for many years, but finds in the end that it is a special place. This book is full of action, adventure, happiness, sadness, betrayal, and life. Like I said Hunter’s Moon is an excellent book, but it started out slow and I would have loved the ending to have been more to it. I would have liked having the ending wrapped up more and find out what is going on with each character. This would be a great book to have a sequel to. Overall I really love this book. It held my interest very easily and I would recommend it to anyone.

About the author: Rudi London was born on the southern west coast. But, he couldn't really call himself a true southern boy before he later moved to Tennessee. Why did he move, you might ask? Well, Rudi had a troubled past He went from building houses to guarding his King to high-tech military top-secret "Pentagon" style operations. Next, he excelled to computer management and speaking at universities before shaking up his entire family by taking on the rock & roll recording and concert scene. Got on BBC TV and declared the world his own. Then somebody decided to ship him to the U.S. of A. to capture its beauty with his camera. All went Rudi's way until Elvito Corleone walked up the road. The pooch had ideas of his own. He wanted Rudi to get involved with The Operator...
My Review:
I was captured right from the first paragraph and so will you. It would have been easy to sit down and read straight through. I love books that have
adventure, mystery and suspense. The Operator is Calling has all of those and more. This book tells the story of Michael, about the things he has lost, gained and how he makes it through life.
The Operator is Calling has it all. Happiness, sadness, loss, pain, fun, humor, spies, secrets, romance you name it. Many problems that Michael has seem impossible to solve just like our lives, but Michael calls on the Lord and He is there.
Some of my favorite parts are all of the spy gadgets that were used in this book. So many different ways to stop the bad guys, some are even lots of fun.
Michael takes on the mob, enemies and others. He has many adventures and always keeps going. Nothing will stop Michael or will it! You have to read to find out. You won’t be sorry you read this super book. It was a very thought out book that keeps you interested on every page. You just keep wondering what Michael will do next.
I highly recommond it and know it will be a book you will treasure. Keep up the super work Rudi. Rudi is a new author to me, but a new favorite.
