What's in the Bible Blog Tour

This 13-part DVD series will take you through the entire Bible-Genesis through Revelation.
Phi is passionate about being able to teach kids more than just Christian values; he wants to help them discover that the Bible is more than just the stories of Jonah and David by teaching what is actually in the Bible and how all the stories fit together.

I watched the first two DVD’s of “What’s in the Bible” series from Phil Vischer, the creator of VeggieTales. The titles are “In the Beginning” and “Let My People Go.”
In the first part of this DVD I found out what happened to VeggieTales. I never knew about the trouble Phil had with VeggieTales, It was very interesting to find out, but also sad.
What I was expecting was really high quality shows, and that is what I saw.
The DVD’s are full of very colorful, high quality puppets and material. Fast action going from one puppet to another. Very lovable puppets who entertain and also educate young children.
Your children are sure to find new characters to love and they will become favorites for years.
I enjoyed the parts that the real children had in the DVD’s explaining what they knew about Jesus and the Bible. They were very precious. You will want to buy each DVD as it comes out. Don’t miss out on all of the fun.

I have a certificate for a free copy of each DVD to give away. Become a follower and post a comment to be included in the drawing. I will be using the true random number generator on www.random.org to pick the winner. A winner will be chosen March 14th to receive both certificates. You will want these DVD’s for your children, grandchildren or friends. Please leave your email address so I can contact you, like this. wandaelaine{at}gmail{dot}com

Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God by Sheila Walsh {Book Review}

Do you ever question God's ability to catch you when you fall?

Do shame, fear, and brokenness keep you from fully trusting God?

Do you secretly believe your dreams are unreachable?

You are not alone.

My Review:
This book is about Sheila Walsh and how she learned to trust. She went through clinical depression and made it back to live a productive, content life. Sheila tells about ten great people of the Bible and the different ways they learned to trust God. This book is for women, but I feel it really could be helpful to men also. There are many ways in which we don't trust in God. "Women may despise themselves, be consumed with anger, lost in despair, struggle with faith, caught up in addictions and affairs." Sheila through the book tells us the different steps to begin trusting again.

I've been helped greatly by this book. It spoke to many areas of my life that needs worked on.

Here is a quote from Sheila's book that really hit me: "When I am defensive, I am deaf, but when I have an open heart, I can hear clearly."

So to wrap this up I highly recommend "Beautiful Things Happen When A Woman Trusts God." It is a absolutely, amazing helpful book.

Another neat thing, in the back of the book is an in-depth Bible study for individuals or small groups. It really seems neat and I plan on doing it.
